ASHANTI, ASASE YAA
Originating in Ashanti, Asase Yaa is also known as Primordial Woman, or Aberewa. She is the spirit of Earth and very powerful. She lives in and is worshipped in the fields. She must be petitioned prior to disturbing the soil in any way, for any reason. She favors anyone who has worked in the fields. Asase Yaa is also the guardian of the dead that have been buried in the ground. Thursday is considered her day of rest. Offerings should be made on Thursdays and include the pouring of wine or other liquids on the ground. Protective, Powerful, Strong. She manifests as green-yellow orbs, light streaks, Shades, dreams, day and/or night visions.Time spent closely with the spirit the first 30 days of coming to the Keeper's home.Treats for Asase Yaa include the pouring of wine or other liquids on the ground.
