This causes an upheaval of emotions, and takes their relationship on an unexpected turn. Amanda thinks that Alex is a pedophile stalker who has been stalking her throughout her entire childhood. This causes Amanda to leave Alex, and during her departure, she gets into a serious car accident. As a result, she miscarries her child and is in critical condition. Alex pleads with Vasper to fix the entire situation, but Vasper refuses based on the fact that he warned Alex years ago about dabbling with the divine plan. Alex is distraught; he cries himself to sleep, only to wake up young again. Alex thinks the whole ordeal was just one crazy, vivid dream. Despite this, Alex's heart longs for Amanda, the beautiful girl from his dream. He carries hope throughout his life that someday he will meet a girl just like her.
